How It Works

The safety drain valve is a temperature-activated valve fitted to the Truma Ultrastore boiler circuit. When ambient temperature drops below approximately 3°C, the valve opens automatically to drain the boiler — protecting it from freeze damage. Once temperatures rise above ~7°C, the valve closes and normal operation resumes.

When to Replace

If your Truma Ultrastore is not draining correctly during cold periods, or you notice water leaking from the valve during normal operation, the valve may be faulty and should be replaced promptly to maintain frost protection.

Installation
