Polyplastic Caravan Window Stays, Catches, Hinge Bars & Rubber
If your caravan window will not stay open, drops shut on its own or no longer latches, the part you need is on this page. Polyplastic window hardware covers the stays that hold the window open, the catches that lock it shut, the hinge bars the window pivots on and the rubber that seals it into the aperture.
Stays come in two mountings. A slide-on Polyfix or Permafix stay clips onto the window frame; a screw-on stay bolts through it. They are sized by length — 140mm, 200mm, 230mm, 280mm and 300mm — and they are handed, so a left-hand stay will not fit the right-hand side. Auto stays hold the window at any position, tube stays at set stops. Lever lock catches are sold singly and in pairs.
Hinge bars are cut to length, from around 325mm to 1914mm, and come in black, graphite and grey metallic. Notched clip-in bars and plain bars are different parts.
Window rubber is sized by the thickness it grips — 20/24, 22/26, 24/28, 26/30, 28/32, 30/34 and 36/40mm — in single-fin and twin-fin profiles, sold in cut lengths and in bulk multiples.
Most Polyplastic hardware carries its part number in a 9.00 or 9.05 series. Measure the old stay and note its hand before ordering. The glazing units these parts fit are sold separately. If you are unsure which part you need, get in touch.
