Thetford SP Fridge Spares & Parts
The SP range is Thetford's older caravan and motorhome fridge service-parts range, covering the N80 and N90 and the fridges built alongside them. It is the range that sits behind the SR parts most current fridges use, and the two are not interchangeable - an SP shelf or element will not fit an SR fridge and the other way round. SP part numbers usually begin 62 or 623; SR numbers are in the 62xxxxx series and are stamped SR on the part or the packaging.
The parts that wear out are the ones people replace. Wire and clip shelves crack or go brittle, freezer and fridge doors and the inside door caps break, and the bottle retainer and vegetable bin snap. On the working side it is the piezo spark ignition, the electronic ignition unit, the thermistor, the combustion flap and the 220V heating element that account for most fridges that will not light, will not hold temperature or will not run on mains.
Your model and part number are on the data plate inside the fridge, normally on the upper left-hand wall or behind the salad bin. Measure a shelf before ordering, because several SP shelves look alike and differ by a few millimetres. All parts listed are genuine Thetford. If your fridge is an N100 or newer, or the number on the part starts SR, the SR range is the one you want.
