Thetford SR Fridge Spares & Parts
SR is the code Thetford uses for the service parts that fit its caravan and motorhome absorption fridges. It covers the current N3000 and N4000 ranges - N3080 through to N3175, and N4000 through to N4175 - the earlier N100 series such as the N108, N112, N145, N150 and N180, and the T-series slimline fridges including the T1090, T2090, T1152, T2138, T2152 and T2175. Many SR parts are shared across several of those models, which is why one part number often lists half a dozen fridges.
The parts that fail most often are the plastic ones handled every day: door bins and shelves crack where the lugs sit, drawer guides wear and let the salad box drop, and the travel catch that holds the door shut on the road snaps. After those come the gas parts - spark electrodes, thermocouples, gas valves and the burner - and the electronics, which on the N3000 and N4000 means the LED display board or the power control PCB. Vents, vent frames and winter vent covers are the other steady seller, as they discolour and crack in the sun.
Finding your model and part number
On most Thetford fridges the rating plate sits inside the fridge compartment, on the left-hand side wall or behind the salad crisper, and gives the model - for example N3142 - along with the serial number. Door bins, shelves and vent covers usually carry their own part number moulded into the back of the plastic.
One thing worth knowing: Thetford also uses an SP prefix for an older range of fridge spares, and SP parts are not interchangeable with SR parts. Check which range yours comes from before ordering.
Everything listed here is genuine Thetford. If you cannot find a number, measure the old part and get in touch before ordering, as sizes change between model years.
